Maldives Airports
The main Maldives airport is the Male International Airport that is located at the Resort Islands just 2km Northeast of Male. It has 24 hour boat services that offer transportation within the city and other resort islands. There are no taxi services here though.
The facilities here are incredible and almost all inclusive. There is a bank, bureau de change, pharmacy, duty free shops, free shower rooms, restaurant, post office, first aid station and left luggage facilities. The departure tax is only 10 US dollars and the time zone for this airport is 5 hours ahead of GMT.
